SISTER TO RETRIBUTION - TG STORY

-- Written by “Irene Naridza”

In the small state of White Rock, there existed the Central State University. Built after years of requests from citizens, it was a relief for young people and adults who no longer had to travel so far to access public higher education.

New elective subjects had been introduced, one of gymnastics and the other of soccer. It didn’t take long for students to take them as a way to unwind from the academic hustle and bustle.

The facilities were newly built, so everything was shiny and new. Students from all faculties used them daily.

However, there were two stains on all of this. There were perverted boys who still thought they were in high school and that their actions wouldn’t have serious consequences.

One of them was Xander, an architecture student in his third semester. The idea of having a gym with his female classmates excited him greatly. He was planning something that he would soon put into practice.

It all ended one Friday afternoon in the girls' locker room. As they were changing after the gymnastics class, one of them heard the sound of a cell phone camera taking a photo, but didn’t see any flash.

Marian, one of the girls nearby, quickly figured out where the sound came from. She opened one of the lockers that didn’t have anyone assigned to it. It was usually empty, but this time, Xander was there with a terrified look on his face.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?" shouted one of the girls. Panic and anger spread quickly throughout the locker room. Xander seemed confused, probably not expecting to be caught there.

He tried to escape, but the girls who were on the soccer team quickly restrained him. "Oh no, you’re not going anywhere." One of them shouted angrily.

"We need to call the dean." said another girl, quickly covering herself. "Yes, this is enough to expel him." said another. "Expel him? He’s going to prison for harassment." shouted a girl who had run to the other side of the lockers seeking privacy.

"WAIT!" shouted a redhead. "Isn’t he a member of that annoying fraternity?" she began with her idea. "The one that's untouchable?" asked a blonde girl.

They gave him a quick glance and realized. "Damn, it’s true. He’s the son of that businessman." one of the girls said, frustrated.

That was the other stain of Central State University. It was the only university in the state. Even private institutions hadn’t ventured there. If you added to that the constitutional obligation of the state to guarantee public education, you ended up with people from all walks of life and with all kinds of backgrounds.

This wasn’t a problem at all. The problem came from the poor and deficient attention from the state, which felt that simply building and financing the university poorly was enough. This led to harassment complaints being archived due to the slow process.

The Alpha Fraternity, was composed of boys from that university. Most of them were rich, while others came from the middle class, lower middle class, and even below. The latter were willing to humiliate themselves just to belong to that 'exclusive' environment.

Xander was one of the rich young men. His father, a busy and hardworking man, was already used to dealing with his son's bad behavior since elementary school.

It wouldn’t be the first time that Xander’s father sent a butler to pay the bail with a large check for harassment charges. "Just don’t kill anyone. I can’t save you from something like that." his father said dismissively.

Everyone at the university knew this, as Xander loved telling his criminal anecdotes as if they were something admirable instead of something to be ashamed of. The girls, knowing this information, sighed in frustration. The underpaid dean didn’t hesitate to accept bribes to lightly sanction troublesome students.

"The dean will just send him to pick up trash in the parking lot." the blonde girl said angrily. "Not even that. He’ll probably ask one of his brainless fraternity friends to do it for him in exchange for a few bills."  the redhead said.

"This is unfair. No matter what we do, he’ll get away with it." said the sporty girl, sighing. "Girls, girls. Let me go, this isn’t..." Xander tried to speak, but one of the girls holding him pressed his wrist to make him stop talking, which quickly worked.

"We can’t let this go like this." said the redhead. Marian, who had a thoughtful expression, suddenly had an expression as if a great idea had illuminated her mind. "Hey, if he’s going to get away with it anyway, why don’t we give him a lesson he’ll never forget?" she said.

"Like what? Do you mean beat him up? Because if that’s the case, I take boxing classes on Saturdays. I have a strong left hook." said one of the girls holding him. Marian shook her head. "It’s something else." she signaled for the girls to come closer to her. They all did except the ones holding him. "Hey, what are you whispering about?" Xander said before the pressure returned to silence him.

To his dismay, the girls stopped whispering and started laughing maliciously. "I love this idea." the girls stared at Xander. "What?... What do you want? Girls, I don’t..." Xander couldn’t say more. Marian had sneaked behind where he was held by the athletes and used a sock to gag him. "No more complaints from you, thug." she said in a stern voice.

Meanwhile, the other girls began searching through their lockers.

In a matter of seconds, they had prepared a gymnast’s outfit. It was a white leotard and black leggings. "No, this won’t work." said the redhead. "You’re right. The university’s gym outfit is ugly." said the girl holding him. Xander could only squirm, but he was quickly reprimanded by his captors.

"This is better." said the blonde. It was the same white leotard, but this time with a black-and-white checkered skirt and black tights. "Well, time to dress Xindy." said the blonde. "Not so fast. We’ll need this." Marian appeared with a black bra and socks. "We want Xindy to look realistic, right?" she smiled at the rest of the girls who were excited.

Xander tried to ask for help or escape. But the athletes kept their grip firm. The blonde added a wig of the same color as her own, which she had stored in her locker. A group of girls held him while the rest dressed him, piece by piece.

"I think your father should have paid for you to go to the gym or boxing classes. Maybe you would have produced more testosterone. Just look at yourself." said the sporty as the blonde took out a pocket mirror so Xander could see himself.

Xander was not only wearing that feminine outfit and a realistic wig but also sporting fake breasts thanks to the padded bra and socks. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. He looked like a real girl, a frightened one.

"Alright, now the tape." Marian said as she pulled out various rolls of tape in different colors. She had recently started a small informal stationery business and carried several supplies in her backpack.

Xander tried to struggle again, but this time more girls joined in to hold him down. They divided the rolls of tape and began tying him up. Some held his arms and legs while others wrapped him in tape. By the end, Xander’s ankles, knees, and thighs were tightly bound with tape.

His arms were tied horizontally behind his back. One of the girls even put socks over his hands before wrapping them in tape, creating makeshift mittens that rendered his fingers useless. Marian gave the finishing touches, wrapping tape around his fake chest and securing his arms tightly to his back.

"You made the wrong choice." she said, accompanied by the ripping sound of the tape. Xander could feel the pressure increase with each pass. But as Marian finished with his chest, something loosened, it was his gag.

"Hel…" Xander tried to call for help. Marian quickly stuffed the sock back into his mouth, holding it in place with one hand while gathering the blonde wig’s hair with the other.

The red-haired girl helped wrap white tape around his mouth, ensuring the sock stayed in place and muffling his voice even more. Despite this, Xander tried to scream and squirm.

"Don’t exaggerate. They were clean." Marian said while the redhead cut the tape and adjusted it snugly around Xander’s face, satisfied with the gag. Marian let go of the wig’s hair, allowing it to fall and hide the tape that wrapped around Xander’s head from lips to nape.

Finally, the girls released him. Xander squirmed fiercely in his bindings, but the tape was too strong; all he could do was wriggle on the floor, prompting laughter from the gathered girls.

"He moves like the worm he is." said one of the athletes before bursting out laughing again.

"I’d say he looks more like a damsel in distress." added the redhead. "Believe me, he will be." Marian replied. Xander's eyes filled with terror as he saw the athletes grab him by the torso and legs to lift him up.

"Hurry. At this hour, the guys are still playing football. The locker room should be empty." said the blonde girl.

Xander watched as they carried him out of the girls’ locker room into the hallway leading to the exit, but then turned towards the hallway that led to the boys’ locker room. Xander tried to plead for them not to take him there, but all he could produce were unintelligible muffles.

They arrived at the empty locker room and laid him on one of the benches. The girls tied him to the middle bench, securing him with tape around his abdomen. When they finished, they watched 'Xindy' struggle, trying to free himself, but he had no way to escape from the bench or his bindings.

"Your stupid fraternity buddies will be here soon. Too bad we won’t be around to see their reaction to one of their members dressed as a cute girl." Marian said, smiling with satisfaction.

"Rumors travel fast on this campus. One says that the leader is tired of you." the redhead said. "And that they’re desperate for a girl. I think you’ll be a pleasant surprise." the blonde added.

"Good luck with that, Xindy.” Marian concluded before leaving with the girls. Their laughter faded until there was only silence.

The whole time, Xander had been struggling, trying to free his arms or escape the bench, but it was useless; the tape was too strong. His heart started racing when he heard the loud laughter of his fraternity brothers. His face turned red with the shame of what was about to happen.

When the door opened and the boys entered, the laughter abruptly stopped. Xander’s gaze met that of Thomas, the fraternity leader. Neither could say anything for an uncomfortable and long moment.

Xander tried to call for help, but his words came out as mere murmurs. He stopped when he saw Thomas smile. Seeing the girls smile was unsettling, as he never knew what they were planning. But seeing the fraternity leader smile was outright terrifying. Xander could read Thomas's intentions, which were far from pleasant.

"Untie this cutie from the bench and put her in my car’s trunk. We’re having a special party tonight." he ordered, prompting the others to obey immediately.

This time, Xander struggled and screamed with all his might. But the tape that bound him made all his efforts futile. To make matters worse, the boys carrying him were even stronger than the athletic girls, sealing his fate.

As they walked down the hallway towards the exit, Xander saw the girls standing on the side, watching with satisfaction as he was taken away.

"Thanks for the gift, ladies." Thomas said. But he got no response. The girls were too busy laughing.

Xander frantically struggled again but stopped when he noticed a very familiar face among the girls. A quick scan of his memories revealed Danny, the girl who had been with Marian that day at the lake when her brother, Daniel, fled from one of the fraternity’s initiation challenges.

He had recently seen her on campus as just another student. Danny was standing next to Marian, the blonde, and the redhead. Of the four, she was the one smiling the most with satisfaction. Her pearly white teeth gleamed, and her eyes never left him. She was enjoying the moment.

The pieces quickly came together. Marian didn’t have any other friends besides her roommates; the blonde and the redhead. Coincidentally, that Danny looked a lot like Daniel, her brother. Xander didn’t remember sneaking into the girls’ locker room to peek.

One last memory hit him. Danny had been unusually friendly with him, inviting him for coffee. Then, everything went blurry until he woke up in a cramped space with a damaged phone emitting a strange noise. Xander realized it had all been her trap.

He wriggled and tried to get the boys’ attention, but he couldn’t utter a single word. Unfortunately for him, the gym parking lot was empty. No one saw them load that damsel in distress into the trunk of the nearest black car.

It was the same parking lot where Xander had repeatedly made Thomas pick up trash for him. Not just there, Xander knew that, although Thomas was a natural leader, he came from a low-income family. He had exploited that need to have a personal servant. But over the months, the fraternity members had come to prefer Thomas as the leader.

Since then, Thomas had always wanted revenge on the rich guy but hadn’t found the right opportunity to satisfy his thirst for vengeance, until today.

With tears in his eyes, Xander tried to plead with Thomas. But Thomas licked his lips before closing the trunk and starting the car on its way to the fraternity house.

– Bien, me uniré a ustedes.

He ido varias veces a su restaurante.

------ Epilogue – For You------

-- Written by “Irene Naridza” and “Gale Kepler”

Mercedes had already returned home with the girls. She drove the car straight into the garage; leaving it outside even for a moment wasn’t a good idea. Once inside the house, she collapsed on the couch, exhausted from all the dancing.

She took off her heels and put on some very comfortable cotton slippers. She always kept a pair in a shoe cabinet by the entrance. This relieved her feet, which were already starting to ache a little. She went to the kitchen and poured herself some water.

Then she returned to the living room, where her daughter and niece were still resting. It was heartwarming to see them in their cute little dresses. “Time to get changed, girls, you don’t want to ruin your dresses.” the woman said.

“Can we take one last round of photos?” Adelaida asked, wanting to make the most of her time in the dress. Domenica smiled at the idea.

“Alright, I’ll grab the camera.” Mercedes replied. “We took a few during the wedding, but you’re right. Let’s use up the whole roll.” She assured them as she rummaged through her purse. Then she took a few pictures, one after another, suggesting a couple of poses for them to replicate.

Mother and daughter felt their hearts melt with the tenderness that Adelaida reflected in the photos.

Mercedes gestured to her daughter. “Go with your cousin. I’ll take a few pictures of you two together.” Domenica smiled and, with a jump, joined Adelaida. Domenica kept striking pose after pose, clearly enjoying herself.

Adelaida now understood why many women seemed to like this. Showing off their outfits was vain, but satisfying. “You don’t always get to look this cute.” she thought. Now that Pedro had to be Adelaida, she figured she should also seize the moment.

“Aww, you both look so adorable.” Mercedes said, touched, when she saw that Domenica had hugged Adelaida. “Alright, I’m joining in!” Mercedes positioned herself between the two girls and took a few more pictures until a familiar sound indicated the roll was finished. “It lasted longer than I expected. But these will be more than enough.”

The woman went to her room, removed the roll from the camera, and placed it in its cardboard case. She wrote down a few details with a pen. “Sunday, April 20, 2003.” she noted, before putting the roll in her drawer and locking it.

She then helped Domenica and Adelaida out of their dresses and into something more comfortable for the rest of the day. It was only 3:40 PM.

Adelaida waited in the guest room for her aunt to bring her something to wear. In the end, she brought over some of Domenica’s clothes. A white shirt and light blue pants. “Sorry, Pedro, but your clothes aren’t dry yet. Though, after wearing a dress, I don’t think wearing this will be a problem for you.” she said, placing the clothes on the bed next to him.

“It’s fine…” Pedro replied. “But… could you keep calling me Adelaida while I’m here?” The boy’s request surprised the woman, but she agreed. “If that’s what you prefer, it’s okay” she said, smiling. “It’s a nice name, after all.”

Mercedes watched as Pedro smiled shyly before leaving the room. She went downstairs.

As she walked through the hallway, she lit a candle at the altar she had set up for her late husband, who had passed away in a car accident a few years ago. She smiled at the picture of her husband when he was young, the same age as when they had met.

“I wish you could’ve seen this.” she murmured. Mario had been a loving husband and a very open-minded person. He had always defended the right of people to love as their hearts desired. If he were still alive, he would have loved to attend Lurdes and Nadia’s wedding.

While same-sex marriage wasn’t legalized yet, there were no barriers to having union ceremonies like theirs, which was already a victory. Seeing the consummation of pure love was something he always celebrated, regardless of the genders involved.

The next thing she did was sit on the couch next to her daughter, who had put on a movie to enjoy the rest of the Sunday. She liked the idea, as the wedding had been exhausting.

Soon, Pedro came downstairs, dressed in Domenica’s usual clothes, and joined them. “Hey, is that my Sunday outfit?” his cousin asked. “Wow, it fits you as well as the dress, even since you’re shorter than me.” she complimented with a smile. “Thanks.” Pedro replied.

The next hour was filled with laughter and hot popcorn as they enjoyed the movie, a family comedy that had premiered a year ago but still brought as many smiles as the first time they watched it.

When it was over, Mercedes decided to bring up an important topic with the girls. “Adelaida, if your parents ask you about the wedding, try not to mention that it was two women getting married, much less what your outfit was.” the woman suggested, creating an awkward silence in the room.

“What? Why?” Pedro and Domenica asked in unison. “I know it’s hard to hide these things. No one should have to. But unfortunately, our society doesn’t seem ready for this yet.” Mercedes explained with a sad look.

“But if we try to explain, maybe they’ll understand.” Pedro said hopefully. “I know, but some adults are very rigid. They won’t understand something overnight that they’ve always seen one way.” the woman tried to find the right words for them to grasp.

“Adelaida, your parents aren’t very open-minded. If they find out about this, they’ll only get upset. It’s not just about trying to convince them. It’s about protecting you from what they might do if they think it’s the ‘right thing’ to show you the ‘correct path’” Mercedes was genuinely concerned for her nephew’s future.

“Okay, Aunt Mercedes. I’ll be cautious.” Pedro replied after thinking it over. He realized it was the best course of action, knowing his parents. They weren’t bad people, but he didn’t want to do anything that would test their limits.

“I hope that, somehow, in the future, all of this will be considered normal, as we already do.” the woman said. “That won’t happen if we stay silent, waiting for society to change on its own.” Domenica’s words hit her mother hard. They were true.

Mercedes had faced a lot of harassment from some neighbors, and even Domenica had suffered at school for standing up for homosexual people. They couldn’t remain indifferent, but it was exhausting.

“If it’s your decision to try to show the world it’s wrong, I won’t stop you, but I’ll warn you. It’s tough, but it’s also something you won’t regret.” Mercedes assured her.

Adelaida returned to her thoughts, remembering that same morning. Lurdes and Nadia’s smiles had been beautiful, just like any usual couple. She considered it a happiness that should not be denied to anyone, and anyone who thought otherwise was a villain.

“Life is already full of risks. This is one worth taking.” Adelaida said, putting a smile on her aunt and cousin’s faces.

Diego and Jose were two men who worked at a small restaurant in Imbabura Province, Ecuador. It was their own business, which had taken them several years to establish. Now, it was their pride.

With their business thriving, another dream could now be part of their plans: the perfect wedding. Same-sex marriage had been legalized in the country several years ago, although society hadn’t progressed at the same pace.

They weren’t afraid to announce it to their families and even to a few regular customers who frequented their restaurant and with whom they had already formed a small friendship.

One night, while organizing the day’s accounts, Diego came into the office with some news. “Another check arrived.” he said excitedly. Without even looking at the check, Jose knew where it came from. “Is it from the Lurdes Foundation?”

The foundation helped homosexual people who were struggling in their lives. Diego and Jose had received assistance from the foundation when they were starting their restaurant business. Now they had a tip jar dedicated to the same cause, their way of giving back.

“No, but it’s from the same donor.” Diego said. “It came with a letter.” He approached his fiancé as he opened the piece of paper, which contained a short message.

“Dear Diego and Jose.” Jose began to read aloud. “I’ve heard that you’ve made your engagement official. I’m touched to see how your story hasn’t reached a happy ending, but rather a new beginning. A new chapter in your lives where you will be there for each other, in a bond beyond any common understanding. Love is something that can only be described by those who have experienced it, and you are fortunate to feel it in your hearts every day as you exchange glances and join forces toward the same goal. A life in which you are both happy, being one family.”

A single tear ran down Diego’s cheek, and Jose wiped it away before continuing to read.

“As for me, I wanted to ensure that this would be a special moment for both of you, which is why I’ve decided to gift you $3,000 for your wedding expenses. I hope you make the most of it, and I’m sure you will. I’ve been to your restaurant several times. You are excellent at managing your business. Marriage is something more complex, but I’m confident you will succeed. Sincerely, Adelaida.”

Jose took Diego’s hand as they both looked at the check. Adelaida was one of the main donors and even one of the founders of the Lurdes Foundation. Their lives were a testament to her efforts in helping people like them live happily.

Though they had never met her, there were no words to describe how grateful they were. But they knew there were actions they could take. That action was to have a wedding surrounded by all their loved ones and to live true to themselves.

This Story has come to Its End.
