Arian was
alone in his room. He was home alone again. He was a very lonely boy both at
college and at home. But he liked this, because he had an intimate secret. Arian
liked to dress in girl's clothes. He liked how they transformed him from a
boring boy to an extrovert girl.
From a
very young age he felt this fascination of spending time as his female version.
But he was always afraid of the reaction that others might have towards him.
Being an only child, it was difficult for him to get girls' clothes. Most of
them he got from the school's “lost and found” area. Rich girls often forgot
certain items of clothing lying in the gym locker rooms or even on the
bleachers of the soccer field.
Having
money, they simply bought another identical item of clothing, so their lost
belongings were stored in drawers. If after a while no one claimed them, they
would be donated to shelters. Arian would sneak in at dismissal time and grab
the prettiest thing that appeared to him very quickly and then sneak back into
the hallways trying not to be seen by anyone.
Arian
didn't feel bad about taking just a couple of clothes. There would still be
dozens that would be used by the needy girls at the shelter.
It
took him a couple of days to get his favorite outfit together. It consisted of
a pair of black tights, a white skirt with a black diamond pattern, and a black
shirt made of a material he didn't know, but he liked how soft it was.
Added to that outfit were some beautiful red
boot-type heels, these caught his attention a lot since they had small white
stones that highlight its feminine aesthetics, which Arian was very fascinated
by.
Now that he had the house to himself, he
decided to go to his room to get his outfit, ready to transform from Arian to
Artemis. He went straight into his room and behind his closet.
There he had his secret hiding. He carefully
moved his closet and enthusiastically approached his hiding place, then his
heart skipped a beat when he noticed that it was completely empty. The girl's
clothes that it took so long to get were gone.
Worry washed over him. As much as he tried to
remember if he had taken it, he didn't remember that he had moved the clothes
to secretly wash them or move them to another place. Someone had taken the
clothes.
The possibility that his parents had found them
came to his mind. That idea scared him. He didn't know what his parents'
reaction to something like that could be like, but what he feared most was that
it would be an anger reaction. His parents were quite traditionalists. Arian
knew that something like that would not be welcome in their way of thinking.
Still on edge, he collapsed on the bed, his
legs unable to keep him standing. He curled up in a ball, covering himself with
his blankets and started crying. He feared that his greatest fear was about to
come true and he didn't know any way to avoid it.
While he was crying. Suddenly Arian felt a
hand gently touch his shoulder. He remained cold, thinking the worst. As he
pulled the covers off of him his mind tried to formulate some kind of excuse
that would help him in this situation.
But when he could see. In front of him were
not his parents or any known person. There was a woman who floated and glowed
with a yellow aura. She had a very beautiful light blue dress, golden curls decorated
with petals and a thin wand that at one end had a shining and beautiful star.
“Hello, Artemis. Do not be
sad." The
fairy said with a soothing voice. Even so, Arian's first reaction was to cover
himself again with his blanket and scream in fear. “A
GHOST, DON'T EAT ME” Arian trembled due to the appearance of the
magical being.
The fairy was perplexed by the young man's
reaction, but understood. "Oh sorry. I will
present myself” she said as she
floated a little higher. “My name is Frayi. I am
the fairy godmother.” She
introduced herself as she made a glitters bow using her wand.
Arian slowly took off the blanket. "Are you…. Aren’t you a ghost?” he said still scared. “Of
course not, silly. I am a benevolent being.” That calmed Arian more,
who was now more relaxed and able to admire the fairy.
"You are very
pretty." He
said as he saw her dress. “Wait a minute… Did
you call me Artemis?” He remembered
that the fairy said that name. “Of course. You’re
Artemis, aren’t you?” Arian was speechless, but for the first time,
he decided to open up to someone else.
“Well, that's my name, my
girl's name…” He
confessed, because he felt safe in Frayi's presence. “No one else knows… How did you know?” He looked at the
fairy with intrigue. “In the magical world we can
know a lot about our designated humans.” Those words filled him with
doubts, but also with curiosity. He wasn't scared anymore, he wanted to know
more.
Then he remembered what Frayi said when she
introduced herself. “Wait… you're my fairy
godmother? Does that mean you can grant wishes?” Arian looked at
her, attentive to her response. "Indeed. I
can grant you anything that won’t harm anyone else or be a potential danger to
yourself.” Was her quick response.
Arian already knew what he wanted to ask her.
“So… since you know about my girl’s name…” he was still hesitant before making his proposal,
but he wanted to do it. “Could it be that you
can…?” The fear of the fairy's
possible prejudice made him slow down.
“Feminize you? Since it is what
you really want. OF COURSE." Frayi anticipated the boy's question. Arian
couldn't believe the answer. It was exactly what he wanted. After a second of
him processing the information, he jumped on his bed, excited. “OH, THANK YOU, FRAYI.” He hugged the fairy.
"So. What do you want
to be?” She
began to investigate. “A ballerina, a princess or
something more modern like a rock star?” The
fairy asked with her wand ready. Arian thought about it for a moment. “How about something more modest?” He proposed. “Something
like… an ordinary girl.” he said
smiling.
The fairy knew immediately how she would
proceed. She nodded and waved her wand at the boy. A pile of silver glitters
fell on him, it felt like it tickled him and when he could see clearly again,
his wish was fulfilled.
Not only had he changed, his entire room was
now different. His bed was a similar size to the previous one, but he now had
several stuffed animals and heart-shaped pillows. On the walls there were
several posters of bands that he secretly loved but that he never dared to
confess his love for them.
He then noticed a white vanity on which were
several makeups implements. Without further waiting, he approached the vanity
so he could see himself in the mirror. He saw a pretty girl with brown hair. Amazed,
he quickly felt his body. “I AM A GIRL” she
shouted with emotion.
He hugged the fairy again. “It's the best day of my life.” A couple of
tears ran down her cheeks as she thanked her. The fairy felt happy for making someone
happy. But she knew that she had to give a couple more instructions. “If you want this to be permanent. Your previous life as a
boy will be erased.” She warned.
“Are you kidding? Why would
I WANT MY PREVIOUS LIFE?” Said
Arian, who had now officially become Artemis, the girl he always wanted to be. "Well. These are things that we must say by
protocol.” The fairy explained. “Many
think twice and many others decide not to leave their past life behind.”
Artemis was surprised to learn that even in
the magical kingdom of fairies, they were subject to certain regulations. "Oh. It's a good protocol, but in my case. I'm fine.
I want to be Artemis forever.” She
exclaimed with excitement. “That is your decision
and it's okay.” The fairy
answered.
Artemis then noticed something important. She
was still wearing boy's clothes. “Um…why am I
still wearing these boy clothes?” She asked. “I was thinking about you having a nice dress. But I
decided that maybe you could have the thrill of choosing for yourself.” The fairy then pointed to a closet. It was neither
very big nor very small. But it was spacious.
“Get pretty, Artemis.” The fairy said as Artemis excitedly
approached the closet.
THIRTY MINUTES LATER.
A young woman was taking a walk in her city
park. The brunette girl was wearing a gray sweater dress. She wore brown tights
for the cold fall that was beginning to arrive. Gray ankle boots designed for
the path full of tree leaves and pebbles. With her she carried her purse that
matched her dress.
People passing by could see a nice-looking
girl enjoying an autumn afternoon. They were all right. They saw the pretties,
but also the luckiest and happiest girl in this new world.
