----- The Mansion -----
SATURDAY
JULY 1, 2005. SOMEWHERE IN MAGLAVIR.
“Aunt Tina. Don't you
really have anything else I can wear?" The embarrassed boy asked. "I'm sorry. Elias. But I don't have male clothes, as
you know I only have a daughter." She told her nephew as she
tied the ribbon behind his waist. "I hope Dana
doesn't laugh at me." He said blushing
"Of course not. Why I would laugh at such a
cute little girl?" His
cousin was standing at the door of the room watching her mother finish dressing
her cousin. He could tell the mocking tone on her talk.
"Dana, honey. Don't
bother Elias."
chided her mother. "The idiots at the
moving company wrecked their truck and now we won't have the rest of our stuff
until tomorrow." She said she annoyed. “Elias already needed to change clothes, but they were in
that truck. But luckily your old clothes fit him perfectly.”
Dana
recognized her old red dress. She still fit in it, but she had been given new
ones for her birthday and as a Christmas present. So, she soon found her dress
in the back of her closet. It then ended up in the attic with a “GIVE AWAY” tag
then the move happened and now it ended up dressing Elias.
"It fits you
well." Said
his cousin. Aunt Tina sat her nephew at the dresser and began to comb his hair
with a brush. When she finished, she put a red flower ribbon in his hair. "Ready. You are ready." She made him
stand up in front of the mirror, the little boy's face turning red with
embarrassment. "I look like a little
girl." He complained. “Why couldn't I wear Dana's pants and shirt? She has several
that don't look so feminine." he
asked her.
"Those are also in the
suitcases of the other truck." His aunt replied. "Well.
I guess I had no other. But why did you put the tights on me?” He
asked, lifting the skirt of the dress a little to show his legs wrapped in the
white garment. “The weather is crazy, we are
supposed to be in the summer, but there you have the cold temperatures of the
afternoon. The skirts and dresses leave the legs too exposed, so a help to keep
them warm was not bad.” She
justified herself.
"Well. I still had
clean shoes. Why do I have to wear Dana's booties?" He pointed to the black booties his aunt had
given him to wear. "Well. It was so that
they match the dress.” The answer surprised the little boy, but he
didn't want to question his aunt's fashion sense. "Well,
why did you give me such a feminine hairstyle? You even put a bow on me.” he asked himself as he touched the bow and looked at
himself in the mirror.
“It was for you to look
beautiful, girl. It would be a waste if you didn't look pretty in such a nice
outfit.” She
answered him while pointing to his reflection. "Beautiful
GIRL? I'm not understanding." The little boy was very confused.
"Look. I only found dresses and skirts for
you to wear, but since only girls wear dresses, I had no choice but to make you
look like a girl” The answer connected the missing dots in Elias's
head.
"Now you can go
outside and play with Dana if you want." The idea did not seem good to the little one.
He didn't want anyone to see him like this “NO. I
prefer to stay indoors. What's more, I think I'll go tidy my room.” He tried to leave, but his cousin stopped him. "Order? But you finished ordering it yesterday. I even
helped you do it. Remember?" That
was true. Elias didn't know what else to say to hide his sorrow.
"Well. I just don't
want anyone to see me like this." He confessed covering his face. "Why not? It would be a shame not to wear that
pretty dress.” His cousin's comment only made him feel worse. She
noticed it. "Don't worry. I'm just kidding." She said to reassure him. "Well. I retire to my room. I just want to be
alone." His aunt let him return to his room, but not before
reminding him that he shouldn't worry, because soon his clothes would be home.
Elias
entered his room, running into his reflection once more. "I look
ridiculous." he said to himself as he retreated to his desk. He took a
comic that he had in one of his drawers and began to read it. It was about his
favorite superhero. Super Bolivar. A foreign superhero who fought against the
yoke of the colonists. Elias knew a little about the story of the real Bolivar
that inspired the comic. I was quite a fan of him.
He
was quite entertained reading, one comic after another until he noticed that he
no longer had any more. He tried to find something else to play with, found a
ball that he played with for a while until he eventually got tired of it. "How boring." He
was lying on his bed looking at the ceiling. Out of mere curiosity he began to
feel the weave of the fabric of the dress. He noted that it was soft, both to
the touch and when worn.
With
nothing else to do, he began to move the skirt of the dress as if it were a
fan. He found it an entertaining move, so he continued to do it until he got
tired of it. He felt thirsty so he got out of bed, put the booties back on and
went to the kitchen to drink water. During his way there, he could once again
see the wooden corridors of the mansion, it was of an ancient appearance. It
reminded him of the ones he had seen in some movies.
While
drinking the water. He saw his cousin enter. She smiled when she saw him again.
"Fence. Here you are, GIRL." she said mockingly. "What
do you want, Dana?" asked the
little one. "Aren't you bored? I do. I was
playing with my dolls. But I got bored. I was thinking. Maybe I would be a
little less bored if someone played with me." She stared at her cousin.
"What? I? No. Playing
with dolls is for girls.” He
refused. His cousin raised an eyebrow. "Have
you not seen yourself in the mirror?"
Elias remembered the outfit he was wearing. “It
is only temporary. You'll see as soon as my clothes arrive, I'll change right
away." He replied to her, making his refusal clear. "COME ON ELIAS. You will see that it will be fun.” His
cousin insisted. "No, you absolutely won't see
me doing something so girly."
"What a nice car you
have, Daniela." Elias
said imitating a high-pitched voice while he moved a red-haired doll, due to
his age it was easy for him. "Oh. Thank
you, Elizabeth. It was a gift from my mother. Would you like to take a
ride?" Dana did the same
with her doll. "That would be great. Let's
go together." Dana and Elias
put the dolls in the toy car. Elias moved it while Dana made up dialogues about
the dolls. They were both having a good cousin time.

------------------------------ Writer’s
Opinion ------------------------------
- Is this the first part of a new series?
Maybe. But the next chapters will not arrive soon. I've been a bit tired lately
and I get artistic block from time to time.
- If you see the name of a character that has already appeared in other of our stories. NO. They will not be the same.

YOU SO MUCH for WATCHING ------------------------------
